CALNET AWARDED $66 Million Army Linguistic Services Contract Reston, VA – December 18, 2006


The United States Army has awarded a contract for management of translation and interpretation services in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF- GTMO) in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to Calnet. The five-year contract, with a maximum value of $66 Million, was awarded by Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) as a SMALL BUSINESS set aside.


CALNET’s small business partners in this venture are Acclaim Technical Services (ATS) and Aegis MEP. Under the contract, CALNET will provide foreign-language interpretation and translation services to the United States Army in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba supporting Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Calnet will provide foreign language interpretation and translation in Arabic, Pashto, Farsi, Dari, Turkish, Urdu, Uzbek and Uighur with United States citizens who have security clearances.


CALNET currently offers INSCOM translation services in IRAQ, Guantanamo Bay and Afghanistan. The CALNET Small Business Team has significant experience in deploying linguists worldwide.
