CALNET Employee Benefits Summary

Medical/Dental/Vision

We offer two different medical plans by a national health care provider to include HRA and a POS Plan. All plans have a prescription drug program which includes a mail order plan. Coverage begins on the first day of employment and coverage is provided by United Healthcare. CALNET provides dental plan through MetLife Dental. Our plan includes in and out of network options and it covers between 80-100% of usual and customary fees for most dental procedures to include Orthodontia Coverage. CALNET also offers an employer-paid vision plan through VSP (Vision Service Plan). This coverage is available to employees and dependents at no cost to the employee. This plan also provides coverage and discounts for lenses, frames, contact lenses, and Lasik.
 

Retirement Plan

To assist employees in achieving long-term financial goals, CALNET, Inc. offers an outstanding 401(k) plan to eligible employees. Through payroll deductions, eligible employees can defer a certain percentage of salary (subject to IRS limits) to the 401(k) plan.

CALNET makes a generous employer match to employee deferral contributions. All employees’ 401(k) contributions will be matched 10% by CALNET and vesting is immediate. For employees hired on or after November 1, 2021, however, there is no vesting of employer matching contributions until the employee reaches 1 year of service at which time vesting becomes 100%.

Paid Time Off

CALNET Full Time Employees are eligible additional special condition paid time off such as Bereavement Leave, Jury Duty, and Military Duty Leave.

Annual Leave

All CALNET employees are provided 15 days of paid annual vacation in their first year of employment; 20 days after 6 years of employment, 25 days after 10 years of employment.

Annual Holidays

CALNET provides 11 days of paid Federal holidays annually.

401(K) Retirement Plan

All employees’ 401(k) contributions will be matched 10% by CALNET and vesting of employer matching contributions until the employee reaches 1 year of service, at which time, vesting becomes 100%.

Life Insurance

CALNET provides Group Term Life (GTL) insurance equal to the annual base salary of the employee. Short-Term / Long-Term Disability Insurance CALNET provides 100% paid Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) benefit is payable for disabilities resulting from non-occupational accidents or illnesses.
