CALNET anounced today that it was part of the Szanca Solutions team that received the Department of State Contract to provide language related services in support of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq and the U.S. Consulates throughout the country of Iraq.  The contract runs for 5 years and has a ceiling approaching $500 Million with all options exercised.

In this contract the team will be tasked to provide language-related services in Arabic and Kurdish languages, including interpreting, translating, and transcription services in support of efforts of the U.S. Government’s Embassy, Consulates, and Regional Embassy Offices in Iraq.  The team will also provide all management, supervisory, and project personnel in support of the continuing Diplomatic missions and initiatives being conducted throughout Iraq, including support for the Provisional Reconstruction Teams and contacts with officials of the Government of Iraq at the National and Provincial levels.
